Senior Mechanical Design Engineer
Full Time Permanent Position - Pune, India (Remote)
As a senior mechanical engineer, you will play a critical role in the execution of pre-tender and post-tender projects for US and Canada regions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical system (HVAC and Plumbing) design, validation of design, production of construction level deliverables and expertise in relevant software applications.
Roles and Responsibilities
Developing detailed design of HVAC & plumbing systems for commercial and residential projects in compliance with international standards.
Validation of design, review of technical submittals and cut sheets in line with specifications on construction stage projects.
Collaborate with project teams to ensure HVAC/Plumbing design and deliverables meet project requirements and specifications.
Plan, closely monitor and take ownership of development of Tender stage and construction level Revit models for mechanical systems using Revit MEP, ensuring compliance with project specifications, installation requirements and international standards.
Preparations of coordination strategies with all services for producing fully coordinated mechanical shop drawings.
Knowledge of executing fabrication level detailed modelling, process of production of spool drawings is must.
Utilize software tools such as Trane Trace, Trace 700, Revit, AutoCAD for load calculations, system design, and drafting.
Able to perform Duct sizing and pipe sizing calculations using BIM Software.
Expertise to handle software tools such as Revit, AutoCAD, Revit Fabrication, BIM 360, Sysque, Evolve and Navisworks for model creation, detailing, and coordination.
Collaborate with project teams to integrate mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems into overall building designs, ensuring efficient and effective solutions.
Conduct clash detection and resolution using Navisworks to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems with other trades.
Participate in project meetings and provide technical support to resolve design-related & project execution issues.
Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to BIM and mechanical design.
Necessary RequirementBE/BTech/ME/MTech Mechanical Engineering.
12+ years of experience in HVAC & plumbing design, with proven experience on Canada and USA projects.
Proficiency in HVAC design software, including Trane Trace, Trace700, Revit, AutoCAD and other relevant applications.
Strong understanding of HVAC & plumbing systems and energy efficiency principles.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
