Senior Engineer - BMS

Full Time Permanent Position - Pune

The role of Senior Engineer - BMS will work with engineering team where they will be required to provide ongoing support to different clients across the globe.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Understanding of controls design from conceptual, detailed and construction stage.

  • Design and develop complex wire harnesses and cabling using WSCAD software (preferred).

  • Preparation of control schematic drawings for panels.

  • Maintain project libraries, macros, templates, and documentation.

  • Develop Control Strategy Narratives (CSN) on input information.

  • Apply logical, analytical, and innovative thinking.

  • To effectively work individually and within global team environments.

  • Review MEP drawings and identify HVAC equipment, dampers and sensors.

  • Review control specifications and sequence of operations.

  • Creation of Bill of material, selection of sensors, control valves, dampers, air flow stations controllers etc.

  • Preparation of Control devices and controller wiring, terminations, interlock wiring drawings.

  • Preparation of I/O Summery.

  • Preparation of BMS network architecture, Wiring diagrams and controls strategy drawings.

  • Software programming of supervisory and DDC level controllers.


    Necessary Requirement

  • Good written English and to be proficient at communication in English. Previous similar English work environment an advantage.

  • Bachelor or Master Degree of Engineering (Instrumentation / Electrical / Electronics / Electronics & Communication).

  • Experience in working on UK, Irish or European projects in designing control panels will be added advantage.

  • The Senior Engineer will possess 5+ years' experience in designing and drawing control panels.

  • Familiar with the design and layout of control panels for HVAC systems, including AHUs, FCUs, chillers, VAVs, pumping systems, fire protection systems, and more.

  • In-depth understanding of Building Management System (BMS) architecture, including various types of operator workstations, supervisory controllers, DDC controllers, sensors, actuators, and related components.

  • Well-versed in communication protocols such as BACnet, LON, Modbus, OPC, and other industry-standard networking protocols.

  • Skilled in the wiring and installation of starters, field devices, safety interlocks, and electrical panels.

  • Hands-on experience in the engineering and implementation of HVAC and BMS systems for major infrastructure projects, including datacenters, pharmaceutical facilities, commercial complexes, and hospitals.

  • Exposure to industrial automation systems, with experience in PLC programming and SCADA considered an added advantage.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications for documentation, analysis, and reporting tasks.
