Senior Design Engineer – Fire Protection
Full Time Permanent Position
The role of Senior Design Engineer – Fire Protection will work within the Fire Engineering Team where they will be required to provide ongoing support to projects as well as develop and manage various work scopes. You will assist in the project management and design of our projects. You will be responsible for the timely delivery of our agreed deliverables and to ensure a very high level of quality is maintained.

Roles and Responsibilities
Capable of handling the projects and client individually with good communication skills
Concept designing and implementation for undergoing projects.
Design of Fire protection systems based on standards like NFPA, VdS, EN 12845 & FM global etc.
Modelling, Review, and coordination in 3D & 2D using Revit, AutoCAD and Navisworks software's respectively.
Preparing sprinkler layout considering obstructions, type of system (Wet, Pre-action, Dry, Mist or Deluge) and coordination.
Coordination with other MEP services as well as with client and monitoring the progress of the project.
Responsibility for QA/QC of Fire protection services.
Planning project timelines and work schedules considering project priorities and project baseline program.
Preparing of all project calculations like sprinkler hydraulic calculations, hydrant system calculations and pipe sizing for it.
Preparing complete sheet package of Fire protection services for fabrication/installation including floor plans, sections, legends, schedules & details using Revit.
Preparing detailed layouts for fire protection systems with LOD 500/LOI 6 like valve rooms and pump houses.
Necessary RequirementA bachelors degree in mechanical engineering
Experience in working on UK, US, Middle East, Irish or European projects.
The Fire Protection Engineer will possess 6+ years' experience.
Experience coordinating/interfacing with other disciplines within the organization.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and any hydraulic calculation software.
Experience in working on large commercial Mechanical Building Services systems.
Position requires thorough knowledge of Mechanical design and engineering techniques.
