IT Asset Coordinator
Full Time Permanent Position - Pune, India
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced IT Asset Coordinator to join our dynamic team in Pune. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end procurement activities for IT hardware, software, and services. This role requires a strong understanding of procurement processes, vendor management, and contract negotiations within the IT domain.
Roles and Responsibilities
Manage the procurement lifecycle for IT-related goods and services, including sourcing, negotiation, ordering, and delivery.
Identify and evaluate suppliers, negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality.
Maintain a complete and accurate inventory of all IT hardware and software assets.
Use asset management tools (e.g., Intune, AzureAD) to track assets.
Coordinate procurement of IT assets in alignment with company needs and budget.
Ensure proper asset tagging, documentation, and deployment to users.
Monitor asset lifecycle stages: acquisition, deployment, maintenance, upgrade, and retirement.
Plan for timely upgrades and replacements to avoid performance and security issues.
Generate regular reports on asset utilization, depreciation, compliance status, and budget usage.
Highlight risks, unused assets, or discrepancies in records.
Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies and external regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with IT and other departments to understand procurement needs and ensure timely fulfillment.
Maintain accurate procurement records, contracts, and vendor databases.
Monitor vendor performance and manage relationships to ensure service levels and contract compliance.
Process purchase requisitions, issue purchase orders, and track deliveries.
Assist with budgeting and forecasting of IT procurement needs.
Necessary Requirement
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
2-4 years of experience in IT procurement or a similar role. Male candidates are preferred for this role.
Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
Proficiency in MS Office and procurement tools.
Good understanding of IT products and services (hardware, software licensing, networking equipment, etc.).
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
