BIM Electrical Engineer

As a BIM Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for the development and coordination of electrical designs using Building Information Modeling (BIM) for diverse projects across the UK, US, and Gulf regions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical modelling and expertise in relevant software applications.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Hands on experience in BIM Modelling on Revit software.

• Working knowledge on spool drawing will be an added advantage.

• Independently read & understand various MEP Mark-ups / Drawings / Plans / Sections / Schematics.

• Revit modelling of Lighting, General services, Containment, Fire alarm and security systems.

• Modelling of Electrical systems in Commercial, Residential, Hospitality, Healthcare, Retail & Institutional buildings.

• Perform assigned 3D Revit modeling tasks as assigned by the lead.

• MEP services Modelling & Coordination using Revit MEP.

• Independently carry out accurate AutoCAD or Revit MEP Coordination work for Rooms / Corridors/ Risers / Plant areas etc.

• Detailed MEP Coordination model / drawing within allotted time frame & quality that is desired.

• Clash detection and resolution using Navisworks manage.

• Preparation of LOD 400 shop drawings for construction issue.

• Preparation of LOD 300 drawings for tender issue.

• Preparation of MEP shop drawing and 2D MEP Coordination drawings

• To understand Amtech calculations and other electrical calculations

• Able to perform electrical circuiting and panel schedules using BIM Software.

• Able to perform Dialux lighting calculations. Preparation/Modification of Revit families.

• Should follow the project BIM Execution plan or Standards.

• Should have knowledge of Revit, BIM 360, Navisworks, Electrical Design, MEP Coordination, Shop drawing, Coordination.

• Manage and attend coordination meetings when requested.

• Verification and preparation of layout drawings to meet client requirements.

• Knowledge of Dynamo will be added advantage. Knowledge of Autodesk COBie will be added advantage.

  
  Necessary Requirement

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

• 4+ years of experience in BIM and Electrical design, with proven experience on UK, US and Gulf projects.

• Proficiency in design software, including Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Revit Fabrication, BIM 360, Navisworks, and other relevant applications.

• Experience working on Data Centers will be preferred.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
